Zamling Chisang

Zamling Chisang is the Universal Prayer Day which is a special occasion observed in central Tibet on the 15th day of the fifth month in the Tibetan calendar. On this day, Tibetans ascend to the summits of local mountains, where they engage in meaningful rituals. They burn incense and unfurl vibrant prayer flags, sending their hopes   and aspirations into the wind. This unique tradition reflects the deep spiritual connection that Tibetans have with their natural surroundings, as they come together to offer prayers for peace, prosperity, and well-being, creating a visually stunning display of colorful prayer flags fluttering in the breeze atop the picturesque Tibetan landscape.
